Warhammer Online Dark Elves   by Clive Cross

Long ago there was a great civil war that split the elves into 2 different factions, the High Elves and the Dark Elves. The High Elves won the war and forced the Dark Elves into exile. The Dark Elves want nothing more that to exact revenge for the exile they faced many years ago. In this article I will discuss the 3 classes available to the Warhammer Online Dark Elves.

The Witch Elves are a fanatical group wedded and devoted wholly to Khaine the Lord of Murder. The Witch Elf carries razor sharp sword dripping with poisons. Like most elves they are very agile and devastatingly quick on the battle field. Due to the poisons they can take out a target very quickly and are especially useful for killing individuals with cloth or light armor.

The Disciple of Khaine is well versed in both the dark arts and close quarters combat. They fight on the frontlines as they need the blood of their enemies in order to perform their dark magic. The Disciple of Khaine has both offensive and defensive magic and can be very useful in changing the flow of battle to their favor. The Disciple wears barbed armor made up of steel or hard leathers, and can dual wield weapons or carry a chalice for magical purposes.

The Sorceress class is one of the most powerful pure casting classes in the game, similar to the Bright Wizards of the Empire. When out of range and left to cast their spells a Sorceress can rain down massive amounts of damage on the enemy. However you must be careful not to overload you spells or the dark magic can lash back at you causing great damage. A Sorceress is most at home as far away from the frontlines as possible as they are virtually without armor.

The Warhammer Online Dark Elves are a very self centered race that looks down on all others as inferior, and want nothing more that to destroy the High Elves. Of the three classes I think the Sorceress will be in high demand because a skilled Sorceress, if played right, will provide tremendous amounts of damage. While I doubt the Warhammer Online Dark Elves will be the most popular race I think they will in high demand because of their specialized talents. Happy gaming!
